Anyone ordered through Bikester post-Brexit?
Discussion
As per the title - interested to see what people's experiences are, how long it took etc. Wouldn't risk it while everything's still up in the air but it seems to be the only place that has reasonably priced gravel bikes in stock.
Estimated delivery is 10-14 days which I can live with, but not sure if I'd be opening myself additional hold-ups.
As it's over £135 I don't think it'd be subject to any customs charges, at least, but happy to be corrected on that front!

you are being corrected, you will pay 20% vat. In any case, I ended up blowing the budget on something in the UK and actually in stock.
Shame ordering from Europe is pretty much out now - ordered a bargain fork from Bike Discount a while back and it was here faster than a lot of UK-based places would have managed.
Also noticed Ali Express is slapping extra charges on, I guess because the parcel comes via the EU
no it’s because it’s outside the Uk. ali express chinese stuff should have always been paying vat, but it was hardly ever collected, “declare lower value etc”
now the uk is forcing sellers to collect at the point of sale, rather than picking it up when it gets imported,
but yeh, have to order from british suppliers now sadly.
