Temple Adventure Disc

Does anyone have any experience of riding or owning a Temple Adventure Disc 1 or 2. I have been toying with the idea of getting myself a retro style steel road bike but prefer disc brakes to rim brakes (I appreciate it is a bit contradictory wanting retro and disc brakes!). My current road bikes are aluminium framed so any opinions on ride quality and the weight impact of it being steel framed gratefully received.
