Can anyone recommend a simple App and speed sensor to use on an indoor trainer. The trainer is a non powered one so the app and sensor don’t involve the trainer

Never used one and not really got a clue so looking for advice.

Thanks

TrainerRoad can work with dumb trainers, as long as you have cadence and speed sensors.

It's pretty numbers orientated so not for everyone but it will get you faster.

Wahoo fitness app is free and will give you a time, speed, distance display and record a session which can be synced to strava etc.

I use a wahoo blueSC speed and cadence sensor which has been trouble free although not the cheapest.

Just to update this I went for the Woohoo speed and Cadence Sensor and using it on the Zwift app via my iPhone streamed to a large smart TV

Using it with My Cannondale Six13

Took a little while to get it set so that the watts were reflecting the power / distance / time compared with real time.

It’s a little addictive and need to use it with a fan as I get very hot.

Thanks for the help
