I find marketplace (FB) or pinkbike best. Be cautious on either. There are some dodgy types that you least expect.... I had one on pinkbike all friendly in a new VW T5 who was dodgy.

Can confirm the dodgy types on FB. My bike was bought by a guy convicted of manslaughter and his mate with a man satchel full of cash. I felt dodgy to try and back out of the sale in my back garden... so let them have it. I looked him up after as I had felt it all a bit fishy. The cash was legit.

Conversely I just sold a set of 60/80 tubular wheels on FB Marketplace with ZERO issues. Generally speaking, It's a lottery whether an online sale will be easy or not
