New MTB Wheels
Discussion
Help me choose please?
27.5, preferably 30mm internal width. Shimano/Sram NX
Currently have Spesh Roval Traverse Alloy, they have taken a hammering in the last year, I've straightened them as best I can
I've just taken delivery of some old (2016 I think) DT M1900 Spline wheels for £150 but going to send them back, want a hub with more engagement and doesn't seem to make sense to buy all the tools to convert to a star ratchet
Top of my list are Industry Nine Enduro S Hydra
Second are Some Hope Fortus 30W with Hope Pro 4 Hubs. I understand these are DH orientated and 'heavy', but Ive spoken to people out on the trails with these double casing Hope wheels and they rate them as Bomb proof.
I am aware of the DT offerings but all appear to be out of stock
Thanks

The Hope Fortus are really not a trail bike wheel - that's the 36.
I would strongly reccomend a custom build (or build them yourself, it's not magic).
I've just upgraded my trail bike thsi year, Hoep Hubs for reliability and future proofing and DT Swiss XM481 rims - that's their trail strength 30mm internal rim, very good strength to weight ratio.
Another option would be the Stans Flow Mk3 at 29mm - however I would recommend DT rims due to their use of the "squorx" nipples which are lightweight, pre treated to maintain tension and make the wheels very easy to build.
