How to review dual power meter imbalance?
Discussion
Good morning pedalers, I have recently installed 4iiii dual power meters and after my first ride with them this weekend my Garmin 130 picked up the data and uploaded it. But how do I review the two separate outputs to check an imbalance? I have had a hip replaced and putting off a second one so I am interested in knowing the numbers.
I plan to upgrade the Garmin at some point, do any of the better models keep the separate data or do they all just add them together?
TIA

I could have sworn it used to be in Garmin Connect as a reported stat on the ride you did. But I can't see it now either. That said, that might be because I also have the 130 Garmin, and I wonder if that unit doesn't support it. I say that as because on the 820 I had I think that was a setting you could have displayed on the unit, you can't do that on the 130, so perhaps it's the unit to blame as it isn't recording it.I plan to upgrade the Garmin at some point, do any of the better models keep the separate data or do they all just add them together?

Can't answer directly as I'm still waiting for my L+R powermeters from IQ2. Maybe in 2022 if the stars align?
That said, the user manual for the Garmin 530 describes lots of data fields for power, many split L/R. Also includes L/R power balance which I imagine would be useful. (My motivation for dual powermeters was likewise because I've had two knee replacements.)
Obviously best to check what's available before buying a new garmin.

The % of each leg is down below the graphs on Garmin Connect in the stats area. It is just a number eg 49/51 not a graph. Training Peaks does show separate graphs for overall power and Right Leg power. I would have thought your Garmin would collect the data from both powermeters but maybe is not able to display it on the screen.

Yeh that doesn't appear on my rides with this garmin so it must just be the 130 not supporting it.Threeracers said:
I get Normalized Power on mine.
On my stats I get; Average Power, Max Power, Max Avg Power (20 Mins), Normalized Power and Work.

Sorry I meant, you cannot get it on the unit itself, it does record it, but you can't have a data field with NP, which seems idiotic. I've had to install a 3rd party app to get it.On my stats I get; Average Power, Max Power, Max Avg Power (20 Mins), Normalized Power and Work.
