I found a review from mtbr and it wasn't goodand the price from Amazon was barely cheaper than deore.
My various ht2 Shimano cranks have taken a beating over the years without any problems, I've got 4-year-old xt on the mtb, 9-year-old tiagra on the SS and my old (circa 2006) XT are on my mate's ht and he is incapable of riding something gently - everything gets a beasting. If you had deore that only last 4 years you're prob paying less than 25 quid per year.
Back in the square taper era I remember our riding group all buying sidewinder cranks (also branded as Specialized IIRC) cos they were cheap and we were teenagers and every single one of use broke them in one way or another. Switched to ht2 and I've been fine and I don't ride any differently really, harder I guess with all the travel I've got now.
In short, after all that rambling, I am all for trying bargains but I think in this case it's a non starter.

OK, just to update.
I bought the IXF to update my old trek frame to Hollowtech with outside bearings.
I fitted the IXF crankset to a genuine shimano BB kit.
Perfect fit. Axle fit into bearings is correct and by the use of supplied spacers, chain line is fine for my 1X set up.
Pleased with it. The bike MUST be faster now!

IXF Cranks - I used and still use two sets for two different Mountain bikes and a single speed and their hollowtech BB as a package, nothing wrong at all, nice and smooth, done many many miles and I don't go lightly on my cranks especially on the single speed MTB, they get given hell, and held up perfectly.
Wouldn't buy anything else now, products have come on leaps and bounds in this area, cheap doesn't always mean crap!
Load of reviews on YouTube on IXF and everyone seems to agree, they are very good!
Set up on my Merida 1-20 at moment...
