Electric scooter for £299

Not sure if this is the right place, but is there an electric scooter worth having for under £300? Or do we need to spend more.

Advice appreciated please.

With current restrictions on where they can be used, unless you've got a large bit of private tarmac to use one on, are they worth purchasing?

We live in the sticks, where they still point at cars and most houses are lit by candles. He can use it on the lanes without problem I think.
