I got the CX sports as it said it could handle swear and indirect water, but the left ear of my now, second pair has just broken.

Can anyone advise me of some wireless buds that are waterproof and dustproof?! Im not sure i want to hear the traffic around me so those Aftershox will be any good.

PS - clips near the buds are good to help keep in place and I want wireless brilliant sound quality. Nothing quite pushes my rides like a good techno set smile.

Thanks

Ignoring the "not wanting to hear traffic" bit - someone will be along shortly to wag their finger about that...

I have never found a set of headphones either running/cycling/in the gym that I have not killed eventually - apart from my Aftershokz Aeropex. "waterproof" and "sweatproof" head/earphones do fine for a while, but they all give up in under a year. My recommendation - buy ones which fit, you are happy with the sound and are comfortable enough with the price to treat them as consumables.

I wear Redmi Airdots when turbo training. They've also been through the washing machine in the past, in their case, and still work.

I have a spare pair, because nothing lasts forever. They're about £13 a pair from AliExpress, and the sound quality is fine.

Alternatively, Rapha have just announced some B&O team effort on turbo trainer ear buds. I bet they're a bit more expensive.

I've used a pair of these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-212200-99-Bud...

for the last 3-4 years in the gym and outside cycling - great battery life, comfortable, don't fall off and sound great. So much so i already ordered a spare pair when they were in the sale as my current pair are starting to look a bit tatty but still work great.

They also do them in buds if you prefer that, my ears don't agree with buds

I did my motorbike test and it makes you a lot more aware of what's going on around you. I tend to ride offroad and on lanes. If I'm gonna be hit from behind would i necessarily hear whats coming in to shunt me ?!

Make sure to compare IP ratings for the earphones you are considering.

Google ‘IP Rating Chart’ and look at the tech specs for each earphone manufacturer model that is in your shortlist.

I run a pair similar to these for when I'm just going on a training/exercise loop on the mtb although I think mine are M-POW branded and were def much cheaper..

Been out in some pretty torrential rain in them and they're still going strong. Sound quality is aright too, good for what you pay... Only downside I've found is that if you're wearing a jacket with a hood the loop around the back can catch it which gets a bit annoying.

Ive had Sennheisers for years and really rate them but, every now and again they have given up. Beginning of lock down I treated myself to a set of power Beats pro. Perfect so far, comfy on and in the ears, the in ear does allow you to hear traffic when down low and so far not given up due to sweat. I ran 3 times a week all through the hot spells and road 3 or 4 times a week. To bloody cold to fill them up with sweat at the mo LOL. I know they are pricey but they are bloody good!
