Anyone ever used one? They look pretty simple to install but what are they like to use? I registered my interest and now have an email saying I can order at a discount.

No, but have used a cyclotricity one. Generally fairly simple. Swytch seems to be some premium packaging/marketing and a higher price point than many - whether it's worth it I couldn't comment.

Its £350 ish Currently has 50% discount - not sure how real the non discount price is though. I think I'll have a punt.

It's a bit more than that in reality. Quoting myself from the 'who buys an ebike?' thread:
Ours (my wife's) arrived this week.
Total costs were:
£499 initial cost - silver wheel (black was about £30 more IIRC), upgraded to the 50km battery (£100), added a throttle (£25).
£130 paid last week for vat, import duty.

So ours was £629, cheapest would be just under £500 total.
