Rogate Mountain bike Trail
Discussion
Pretty sure its £10 for the day.
Interestingly i had never heard of Rogate until I mentioned where i am from at a visit to BPW last week and a rider said that they had been here and its good. Weird as i ride at QE country park most weeks that i wasn't aware!
Anybody on here have any feedback what it is like. It shows push up routes. Are you able to ride them?

Visited the site today, there's just about every type of track you could wish for from novice to expert.
It's going to be worth my while buying the full year membership so that I can go a few times a week (during the week) by pre-booking and not have to pay each time I visit. As I only live about 10 minutes away by car, from my visit today it looks to be a good place and I met a few friendly people too.

The push up routes can be ridden, or at least that's what people were doing today, as I mentioned above join the full one year membership and ride there as often as you like for free you just need to register on-line for the days you want to go. I was told by a guy I was chatting to that weekends are busy so I'll probably opt for week days.Interestingly i had never heard of Rogate until I mentioned where i am from at a visit to BPW last week and a rider said that they had been here and its good. I had a look at the QE cycle route, being a tight git I'll park my van in the nearby lay-by and ride in.
Enjoyed Rogate a lot, at this stage in my riding abilities the beginners route was plenty challenging enough for me but thoroughly enjoyed. I landed up joining for the year as it seemed a no brainer with it just up the road and I'll certainly go at least once a week if not more often.
I also tried the Blue Route at the QE Country Park that was completely different but great fun, I'd forgotten that wet tree roots can throw a light bike off course but I managed to save me and the bike any grief this time. I parked my van in the local pub as us Lotus Anoraks use it as a meeting place these days, which of course saved me paying the extortionate car parking fees. I can see myself visiting this place at least once a week too.
Despite the wonders of E-MTB assistance and it is without doubt the right choice for me I ache like a bh. So getting up scaffolding will be challenge for me for a while.

I really want to head down some time and do the beginner stuff but my mates starting to get out if his comfort zone even in the surrey hills. I know full well he will hate the winterfold stuff and yet its good for me for now. He will hate Rogate
Well I've only just started riding mountain bikes, the last time I did dirt tracking on my push-bike I was a snotty nosed kid and found it to be great fun at Rogate. Okay I've been riding trial and moto-cross bikes all my life but have found mountain bikes to be a whole new discipline mainly because they are so light and you can't blast your way out of trouble. The Queen Elizabeth Country Park at Butser Hill is also an excellent place for beginners I did the blue route today and really enjoyed it.
