How far have bikes come in the last 10 years?

I used to mountain bike a lot, then I got a Commencal Meta Team in 2009. Shortly after when trying cleats I full off and buggered my medial ligament.

Since then I bought an On-One frame and converted it into a Hardtail, it’s got 26” wheels a triple front chain ring, Fox Float RL32 forks etc. I’ve started mountain biking recently and am now looking at shiny new ones.

Is it worth getting a new bike? I like the look of the On-One Scandal, my budget would be about £1k, but am wondering if it’ll be worth it?!

Scandal is a great bike. We had 2 in the house and now 1, I ride to work 5 times a week. The deal for the new one is a good one. My mate is eyeing it at the moment , especially with £200 off as well.
