I got a worm to work on a tubeless issue.

I went to get the old hack out today. Although it is a station / crap weather bike, I still use it quite a bit, and put some decent tubeless Carbon hoops on it earlier this year. I’ve not had any issues up until today. I got a sharp in the shoulder of the tyre which caused an issue. I’m using Stan’s race sealant ( the red cap stuff that actually works) and it was trying it’s best to plug the hole. However the hole was a bit bigger than the sealant could cope with, so I went to my survival kit and dug out a tubeless repair kit. I wasn’t hoping for much ( on previous experience) so stabbed the worm into the hole and cut it flush. I put a dob of vulcanising rubber solution stuff over it to make sure, left it for 10 minutes, put the pressure back up, and cracked on. Hallelujah, it held. TBF it’s an MX bike with 38mm tyres at 4-5 bar, but it held, and that surprised me, given previous experiences with tubeless set ups. The tubeless kit was a ‘lifeline’ number from Wiggle, and I can highly recommend it.
