Sorry for another what bike thread, but I'm bamboozled by the choice out there. Having thought I need an all round bike, I don't, I actually need an eMTB.

It's for an inexperienced rider around the Chiltern Hills, summer and winter (very muddy) not hardcore

Prices seem to vary massively, and you can spend a fortune, just wondering whether anyone has any recommendations at a circa £3k price point.

Many thanks

What are people's thoughts on the ORBEA Wild HT 30?

Seems good value for money, although it comes with 'EU brake set up" whatever that means.

Some countries have the front brake on the left.

Check out the range from Haibike

https://www.haibike.com/gb/en/ebikes/emountainbike...

I follow Sam Pilgrim on youtube and he's a ex pro-mountain biker and is sponsored by them. He puts the bikes through some serious abuse and they look well constructed and there's a number below £3k

Sam Pilgrim channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-WMwOzgFdvvGVLB1...

I'm not in the market for an e-bike yet, but for the money, I would be looking at this one: https://www.haibike.com/gb/en/ebikes/emountainbike...

I was in the same boat as you a couple of months back. I went for this:

though if you want slightly less travel, the e-escarpe looks like a very good option too:

I got mine in the Wiggle sale for £2719 - great value for money for an e-mtb with good components and a dropper post as standard.

MBR mag rated it 10/10
