Hello,

Looking to get a new mountain bike using my work CTW scheme however it’s the Evans scheme and it looks like they stock very few brands of bikes. Does anyone know if they can order in other brands?

I would like a Nukeproof Scout 29 and see they list Nukeproof a stocked brand but does anyone have any experience of asking them to order a bike that’s not on their website?

Of course I know I can phone them and ask but I’m an impatient bugger... hehe

TBH, nobody has any bikes at the moment anyway.
I have access to a voucher, but no point talking it until they have what I want..

Same here. Funnily enough asked them today about when Pinnacle 2021 range would appear...was told they were there. Which I feel is a lie, ‘cos they aren’t.....

Not sure what to do. Might get (pre-order) a ‘cheaper’ fun MTB and get some decent panniers and other bits for £2-300! A shame to waste the tax advantage and ask for a refund, but their range is pretty awful.

I’ve no intention of getting the voucher yet but want to be ready to go when I can, I’ll wait for the 2021 model too. Just a shame it’s with Evans as the only stock a few manufactures by the looks of things even including the out of stock stuff.

Could be worse. My employer moved from Evans CTW scheme (bad) to Halfords (shocking). Thank god I didn't sign up this year.

Could be wrong but I'm fairly sure you can redeem the Halfords one in other shops - not just halfords:

Why?
Halfords can get you any bike you want. They don’t need to stock it in the shop to order it in for you. Halfords also own tredz so you can look there as well.

I don't if/when they will be doing the bike trade in scheme, but when I did a voucher with them 2 summers ago, you could get the discount with a trade-in when using your voucher. The minimum requirements for the trade in were "dunno mate, I guess a bike shaped frame and two wheels or something, no one has ever asked".

I picked up a tiny kids bike from FB marketplace for £5 and got £100 off the new bike. They laughed when I brought it in, but didn't reject it.
