Recommend me some decent commuting wheels please

I have an entry-ish level Boardman hybrid that I do 10 miles per day on. It’s SRAM 9sp, disc braked & 700c. Happy to spend up to 150-200 for something decent if it’s possible in that price range.

Any recommendations please guys?

Campagnolo Zondas are a good option, need to be on sale to get for £200, but they often are.

Avoid the 'Ultras' though, they come with Ceramic hubs, not as ideal for commuting.

Maybe take a look at Mavic Askiums also.

I've only ever run them in rim brake rather than disc, but lots of commuting & Cyclocross racing & never had any issues.

I've done a few thousand KM on my Campagnolo Zondas, commuting through winter - they've been pretty spot on and never needed trueing, well worth a look!

They are, but they're also thru-axle and not QR so might not be compatible with your frame.

I had a set of Aksiums on my Canyon that I have now replaced

They are good value and supposed to be hard wearing but a couple of spokes on my rear wheel stripped the threading within the rim which meant they couldn't be tensioned properly

Mavic did replace under warranty with no questions asked

I suspect out of budget but DT Swiss hubs seem to be extremely well made and require little to no care or attention. Other than that I would suggest some cheap Shimano wheels as in my experience Shimano rarely make anything bad

Highly recommend Mavic Askiums, just replaced the set on my Giant after 6500 miles.

Never gave me any issues with spokes or hubs.

Would have run them longer but a friend offered me another set of wheels.
