You can use SRAM or Shimano cassettes with Campag and vice versa. As long as you keep to the same number of cogs (and within the capacity limits of your mechs) it works just fine

No idea about gold pedals though

No. Just no.

Obvs entirely up to you what you put on your bike etc, but 100% not for me.

But can you use a SRAM or Shimano cassette on a Campag freehub?

Perhaps the correct response is that you can use SRAM or Shimano cassettes with Campag shifters and vice versa as long as you keep to the same number of cogs and you use the correct type of cassette for your freehub it works just fine?

They are sprockets, not cogs.

Afraid it’s not that simple.
Not sure what number of gears the OP needs, but 9 or 10 speed Shimano or SRAM don’t work well with Campagnolo shifters at all. The spacing between the sprockets is different between Campagnolo and Shimano/SRAM (which are the same I believe)

However, Shimano/SRAM 11 speed will work fine with Campagnolo shifters. I’m currently running an Ultegra 11 speed cassette on a Campagnolo equipped bike and it works fine.
There’s plenty on the web about compatibility between the different group sets. Leonard Zinn is regarded as an authority on such things, so well worth a read to find out what works and what doesn’t work.
