Latex Tubes Lifespan

Hi all,

How many seasons do latex tubes last before they're likely to fail?

I've run them on my time trial bike for a few 10's. Ideally I don't want to change them every year at £12 a wheel, but then having a catastrophic blowout at 40+mph is more painful than £24

They generally go around the valves eventually.

I think I've had a couple of years out of one in the my TT bike wheel.
