I have a 2018 Cube Cross Race Pro 11 speed as shown in the link below. It's a 105 groupset.

Need to replace the chain and rear cassette. Not sure what I can buy to ensure compatibility. Could someone be good enough to post up suggested replacements?

Any 11-sp road cassette should be fine. Shimano and SRAM chains work with each other so no probs there either.

When my OE 105 cassette and chain were done I replaced them with a SunRace cassette and SRAM 1170 chain with no probs.

As said above as long as you stay at 11 speed all should be ok.

The natural upgrade might be an Ultegra, this is a good video that compares the 105 to Dura-Ace (the top of the range stuff), makes mention of Ultegra (sort of in between).

Stick with a 105 cassette plus I would recommend KMC or Sram chains, Shimano chain are a complete faff to fit with the snap pin.

Maybe what I should have asked is:
How does the o/p know he needs to replace both? The original question implies that he hasn't changed them before, so why both chain and cassette?

Depends on how many miles they have on them?

I recently fitted a new chain (first time in my life) to a mtb with no idea that as it had done so many miles then the cassette was knackered too and even if it wasn't it's probable that a worn cassette isn't going to like a shiny, new, within-tolerances chain.

If the chain is past 12-1/8 inches over 12 links, it will have killed the cassette. So I’d bet my bks to a barn dance he does need to replace the chain and cassette.
