Pre bike purchase bike fit

Many places will offer that service.
Whereabouts are you?
Bike fitters within a bike shop are going to offer this typically (as they want to sell a bike) but some may limit their advice, and be limited in their knowledge, to bike brands which they stock....

I'm sure i've read on here about a chap not linked to a shop so he looks at your stats compares them to the whole of market geometry and recommends you a bike rather than just what the shop he works for stocks.
I should think that any brand of any bike can be made to fit almost anyone, as long as the frame size is close enough, just by making adjustments and changing the stem or handle bars as required.
A proper fitting session at my LBS with all body measurements and joint flexibility taken is about £140. If I start doing 100km rides, I might just go for it.

I'm SW based, but ended up travelling over to Sigma Sports in Kingston for a fit prior to getting my current bike.
For what it's worth, i think there's more to it than just looking at the frame geometry and comparing to self measurements if you want a fit done. I had saddle issues which were fixed mostly through shoes, cleat position and a wedge on one side to account for leg length discrepancy for instance which wouldn't have been caught doing a remote fit. They also did a flexibility assessment which was useful.
I think 73 Degrees Bike shop in Keynsham is quite well regarded locally.

I used him a few years back - really good. Spent a couple of hours doing a mini bike fit and gave me some options based on the geometry that he thought would work best and I ended up with a Canyon.Took it back and had a proper bike fit when it arrived.
