Hello I am an employer wanting to sign up for a cycle to work scheme. I understand there are now three different schemes offering 24-45% saving.

It depends how useful you want to be to your employees.

Typically there is a compromise between ease of scheme, and range of bikes available e.g. easy to administer, but only a few not very good bikes.

What your employees will want depends on their demographic / interests, so if you genuinely want to get the best for them, it's a case of polling them would you use it, what sort of bike would you get, what would you want to be able to spend, what brands would you prefer to be able to buy.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but if my employer has this scheme, can I still use it to buy a bike even though it wouldn’t be possible to use it to commute seen as I get a van?

I’d imagine so
I work from home
My office is 50 miles motorway drive away.
But I can spend 3k on cyclescheme ..

I used CycleScheme at my previous employer for two bikes. It was relatively painless as an employee, but it does a have a "hire continuation" fee to be paid at the end of the first year. I believe CycleScheme take take 10% of the voucher value to run their operation, which may be different from operator to operator. This affected the discounts on offer from the bike shops, one of which was very open about how the scheme worked from their end.

My new employer doesn't offer it yet, but is looking to improve the benefits package to their staff. I'll watch this thread with interest as more information becomes available, and recommend the option which suits the employees nicely, and makes the bike I want available.

hehe

We use Cyclescheme - it's relatively painless to administer from the Employers perspective. make sure your HR/Payroll team check outstanding loans as part of their "Leaver" checks.

GCI is the best one for the sellers, as the commision is low. it also has no limit.

i would push for that.
