I have a Whyte JW4 like this:

It is a great bike but the original air shocks have lost all their damping and it is like riding a pogo stick. bounce
I want some new ones, money is tight so I cannot spend a fortune but I want something good enough not to spoil the bike, any suggestions please?

Are they standard fox shocks ? Maybe speak to TF Tuned about rebuilding what you have ?

They are Xfusion Shox 02 air shocks, they where on the frame when I bought it and built up the rest of the bike, I was not aware that they could be rebuilt but given that they are around 20 years old I would rather replace them.

Rebuilding would obviously be cheaper but what size i-2-i and stroke length are they?

Yeah I agree, I think rebuilding them will be the cheapest and easiest option if spares are still supported. Upgrade Bikes look after X-Fusion.

Thanks everybody for the help with this, I have spoken with Upgrade Bikes and they can refurbish the shocks so that is what I am going to do.
