I've got an old Kona Dr Dew sat in the garage, that in it's time was a brilliant all weather commuter.
The standard Shimano BR-M486 need replacing and I need advice.
I've seen a set of Shimano M396 priced £56 and a set of M615 priced £90, would these be a straight swap and also as new rotors are cheap, replace those at the same time?
I only want an easy replacement, any advice please.

They are a straight swap, but the hoses might need a bit of trimming, so not that straightforward.

Check to see if they come connected. Some Shimano need assembling and fluid some are ready to go. If they are available in front brake options ie righ for uk left for Europe then they are connected and ready to go
