Modular Full Face Helmets
Discussion
Thoughts? Good idea or a compromise not worth taking
Looking at a Bell Super DH, Leatt DBX Enduro Helmet plus others.
They seem to offer great 'round the back of the head' protection which would be good for trail riding, but then I've got the intention of visiting Rogate, some parks over in Wales where a full face would be handy were I to accidentally into a tree. Dont think ill ever get into proper downhill, there just isnt anything round me in Surrey I'd consider anything other than aggressive trail riding

I’ve just got a Bell Super DH; a few weeks ago a mate of mine had a spill, went over the bars and ended up with a broken nose and smashed all his front teeth - the teeth alone are going to cost thousands. That did it and after some research I went for the Bell. It’s a highly rated bit of kit.
I’m a biker and I won’t ride a motorbike with an open face helmet, so it makes sense given that the speeds I get up to downhill on my MTB are not much different to those on my dirt bike when it’s rocky/steep.
I got it for a pretty decent price too, off Amazon, it was a similar price to lesser spec stuff.
