Flashing front light during the day - Yes or No?
Discussion
Depends where, if I'm cycling in an urban environment and there's a possibility I'll be tired (e.g when I was cycling to and from the train station as part of my commute) one solid one flashing, just to give others a fighting chance of seeing me when I might have too much to concentrate on to spot their stupidity
Rural I'm far more worried about rear visibility. Most accidents from infront can be avoided with defensive riding in my experience, as long as your observations are up to scratch

Not always. I'm always out in brightly coloured tops on quiet Somerset roads. If I venture onto a B road, or heaven forbid.......an A road, then I'd always put it on flashing. If it's rubbish visibility, low cloud etc then it'll always be on solid............
Rear light is always on flash in the daytime, every ride

I see loads of cyclists out in the New Forest. many run flashing lights during the day, and as a fellow cyclist I think it works to draw attention to them earlier. I don't always use mine though. Mostly I save it for cloudy days when I'm on roads where I'm in and out of the shadow of trees, where it makes the most difference. Same with the 'Day Flash' mode on the rear light really. I always ride with lights fitted, but use them as sparingly as I can to preserve battery life (I often stay out later than I'd planned, hence always riding with at least one light fitted each end).
