Needs some help troubleshooting an issue.
I’m currently using a Vector 3s and a Garmin Edge 130.
Vector has new batteries.
Edge and vector are on latest software update.
Vector connects to the Edge and calibrates without an issue.

The snag is the Edge doesn’t display any power data...

Lack of watts? :P

On a more helpful note (hopefully!) is the edge connecting to any other power meter? Is the edge data field set to show, say, instantaneous or 3s power, rather than something that’d take a good while to collect the data for e.g. average, peak, NP etc?

Two aspects to this question (one of my bikes has vector 3s and edge 1000)

When you say 'doesn't display power data'
1) Do you have one of your screens set up to display it? If not, go to Settings > Activity Profiles then select the profile and you need to add the power metric you want to view (my suggestion would be 3 sec).

2) If you've done that and you mean it just displays -- then it's the battery connection in the pedals. Vector 3s are an absolut ***** for this - and is the reason I struggle to recommend them. Not tight enough and it won't connect, too tight and it won't connect (and you'll strip the threads from the barrel).

Have you got the 'new' version of the cover?

Have you checked that the LED is flashing as it should?

Hopefully some of the above helps!

Thanks both, Looks like it was a battery connection issue. It’s the old style cover, is the new one a foc warranty thing?

I got the new door from Garmin FOC. Have you registered the pedals on the Garmin website? I did it, then within a couple weeks I got informed about the replacement door. It comes with different contacts inside the pedal too.

Link to the replacement door kit - https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/638682

How do you find the 130?

I’ve just ordered one as my trusty 800 is starting play up and not connect to my laptop.

The 130 seems to do what I want (power was a main thing for me) without all the bells and whistles of some of the bigger and more expensive units.

I’d probably set up two screens with 5 areas, do you think the display is big enough for that? I know it can do more but don’t want it too busy.

Bear in mind it doesn't do NP/TSS etc...

There's an IQ add on, but its not standard.

Screen looks fine for that.

That’s pretty much why I bought it, It does basic power Output well and has A very basic breadcrumbs route Capability. I didn’t need anything else. I really like the 130.

2 screens with 5 Data fields would be busy but not too difficult to read and obviously you can move things around to suit.

Cheers, yeh I only use 3s and Avg Pwr so not too worried about NP/TSS.

Was £99 on Amazon which seemed a lot cheaper than anywhere else, was fulfilled by Amazon so hopefully it’s legit hehe

Halfords have it for collect at 99 too, as I did so this morning.

Have installed an IQ app for NP, and also a battery app to give percentage as it doesn't do that out of the box.

Contact Garmin with your serial number. I received a pair of 'new' caps within a couple of days.

Honestly - still not perfect, but a damned sight better. You have to be careful with ensuring they screw in straight and as mentioned, that 'goldilocks' tighness.
