Without going into too much detail about what I do and don't have already - mainly a 20-odd year old bottom-end-of-half-decent bike (would be about a grand's worth new these days) and similar kit and accessories (I already have new padded shorts! Don't list them in your answers, please, although they may actually have been the first best thing anyway)...

... if you had maybe 2 or 3 hundred pounds legitimately earmarked for bike budget (from, say, selling an old MTB you never use any more as you're definitely a roadie wink )... what bike stuff would you buy today to make life nicer*?

No limits, bikes/components/workshop/clothes/anything.
Have fun! (Well, I always enjoy spending other people's money hehe )

I have some ideas myself, but I'm very out of date and could easily miss something that's improved a lot in the meantime smile

*( Bike stuff, not coke and hookers, even if that's the correct answer when not under lockdown + social distancing!)

For me, probably a set of Mavic Aksium wheels to upgrade the ones on my low end road bike, or even an upgrade to a better groupset, can get a full Sora set used for about £90 nowadays.

A bike computer, if you don’t already have one.

Next up a power meter if you fancy another source of data. £199 for a left side crank is a good price now.

Not seen the news then? Might in short supply now... frown
