Hi all, someone has this for sale near me but they won't give a price. Just asking for 'offers'. It's a Specialized Stumpjumper comp but does anyone know what year it is and approx value? Having trouble finding anything online. Also is it any good for a beginner to do some trails? Cheers

Tread with caution, a lot of people are listing fitness items, as they have heard prices have quadrupled during the lockdown and just fishing for a stupid price.

I agree with above, around 2009 era, not worth a great deal as not old enough to be commanding 'retro' prices or new enough to be nearly new.
I would put it at £200 - £300, top value only if sporting recently replaced components or some decent upgrades.

Good (old) frame and forks look like quality items as well.

What's the condition of chain, rings, cassette? Easy to spend 100-150 on replacing those if they are knackered. Also, its a 26inch wheel size, tyres and spares are getting harder find.

If all in good working condition then £200 max, I'd go for £100. If chain, tyre etc are knackered it's worth about £25

Bear in mind that if the forks are knackered you will struggle to find a replacement. Sizes and standards have changed a lot since 2009. This might apply to other items on the bike.

Maybe a bike for a Spesh Stumpjumper enthusiast but if you're looking for a starter bike then maybe not the best buy.
