This is a real long shot, as I can't find anything on line. I am trying to find out if I can add fixed mudguards to a 2nd hand 2017 Merida Ride 300 Juliet ladies road bike.

The bike has what look like a mount point to take rear mudguards, though the mounts are rear facing on the back of the dropouts.

What I don't see is any mounts fora front mudguard. That makes me wonder if I am wrong to think the rear mounts I can see are for mudguards, as I can't think why it would have rear mounts but not front.

Can anyone help?

The rear mounts might be for a rack.

Clip on mudguards are pretty good at keeping the rider dry.

Thanks. I hadn’t thought of a rack but would the rear facing mounts take much weight ?
Also , there are no other mounts on the top of the seat stays.

It does have a chainstay bridge with an Allen key bolt in place waiting for some use, and other than a mudguard I can’t think what else would use that.

But then the lack of any front guard mounts doesn’t add up. Or maybe Merida thinks a rear mudguard is enough ?!
