The last three rides on my gravel bike have caused the two smallest toes on my right foot to go numb and/or tingling after about 8 miles or so.

This last ride I swapped out the seat for the one off of my MTB. It hasn’t made any difference. I’ve never had this problem before and can’t think of anything that’s changed on the bike. I’ve tried different shoes as well and that hasn’t helped but I presume it’s something to do with my seating position? It’s also causing the back of my right knee to tighten up.

Have a look at the position of your cleat; is it loose? If it's too far forward you might be putting too much pressure through the toes, rather than the 'meaty' part of your foot.
Happened to me years ago, and the right cleat was further forward than the left one.

Could be tight socks,tight shoes,the wrong shoes,cleat position,st insoles.
I start my rides like I start skiing.Loose shoes until, my feet warm up,then tighten up my laces/buckles.

I would also suggest adjusting cleat position, in the past moving the cleat back has helped me with a similar issue.

I have the same problem on longer rides. I put it down to a combo of being very heavy, a poorly positioned seat and the pressure this puts on your nerves for your lower body. Try moving the seat.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I don’t clip in, not brave enough yet but will do at some point.

I moved the seat forward about 4 - 5mm and tilted the nose up a small amount. It was definitely better but there was some tingling, just not as much. I’ve dropped the seat post about 3 - 4mm and will try again tomorrow.

Tight shoes would be my probability!
