Fancy using my phone for mapping when out and about, rather than stopping, getting it from my jersey pocket, anyone use one ?

The Quad Lock looks good but is expensive but guess its cheaper than sending a rather expensive phone down the road,

Anyone got any suggestions/experience ?

Bear in mind you need plenty of space either side of the mount as it is twisted 90 degrees to lock/unlock.

Mine hasn’t fallen off yet!

I use one of these.

Cheap, works and is easy to move from one bike to another.

I use an ultimate addons tough case and mount. I purchased it for my motorbike (sat nav on phone etc) and it is a little chunky on a bicycle, but it works really well and it's 100% water proof an drop proof. I've dropped mine from the motorbike at 60mph and ridden though the worst weather ever and it's protected the phone completely. It fixes very firmly and doesn't flop or move about. Great piece of kit, been using them for all my iphones down the years, but they make versions to fit all phones. They distribute via an ebay store, so search for them on there.

the Topeak ridecase works well if they do one for your phone type. Aluminium mount is nicely made and replaces the stem top cap.

Cheers for the suggestions, went with the https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/

47 quid so quite pricey but looks like it should do the job and not launch my phone off.

Quad Lock arrived today, dead easy to fit, well made and feels like it wont fall off, not cheap but pleased with it.

Bump. Had my eye on a quad lock for ages but wanted to wait to get the vibration damper with it. Popped onto their site today and happy days they have a black Friday deal on. 30% off everything smile

It's actually paid to procrastinate over spending so much cash on a phone mount.

Bought some of these to plug into the bottom of the iPhone and protect it from water ingress on the Quadlock. Couple of quid on Amazon and if you use charging pads it need never be removed.

I am on my third quadlock, i’ve a mounts on the roadbike, hardtail and eMTB. Solid bit of kit but like the poster above they need to up their game on spamming me now i have their kit!

I also use Quadlock and it works well, but I use the sticky pad on the back of my phone rather than a specific phone case. However, when I first got it, the sticky pad fell off in short order despite me applying it properly. Luckily it happened when I was attaching the phone to the car mount (which is also great) rather than on the mtb.

Quadlock were great and issued me a new mount, but I actually used my own double sided foam tape and stuck it onto the silicone phone case rather than the phone itself. This seems to work better and it hasn't fallen off with plenty of use.
