I'm currently keeping 4 bikes going as we are now using them during lockdown.

I've set them all up nicely, oiled everything, replaced 1 rear hub due to bearing breakdown.

The one thing that's driving me nuts however is the frequency of punctures.

So far I've repaired 6 in the last 3 weeks.

So I'm looking for recommendations for puncture proofing using tape.

5 bikes have 26" wheels, 1 has 28" so I'd like to buy a reel of tyre lining tape from somewhere.

Thanks.

Have you also considered one of the slime sealants you put into the tyres?. Certainly a lot easier than fitting a tape

I injected my tubular tyres on my summer bike with Effetto Mariposa caffe latex, and a couple of weekends ago managed to get a huge thorn stuck in the front tyre. It’s buried in so far that I can’t prise it out, but the tyre is holding pressure and I’ve done several rides since.

If you're getting that many punctures you either have worn out tyres, underinflated tyres, or the riding style of a sack of potatoes combined with hugely rocky or thorny trails.

Far better to fix one of the above than trying to make tyres puncture proof, because short of airless ones, you won't manage it

As above including checking tyres and removing sharp stuff every so often. And maybe better tyres.

Lots of rides through woods and tracks is the main problem.

Here is the latest culprit.
