Have just got a Apple Watch 5, all working perfectly with my Strava account. Now looking to get a Bluetooth cadence sensor, wondered if anyone can advise which one works?

There are lots of reports from last year that the ecosystem around Strava and Bluetooth sensors fell apart, can’t seem to find any that say all good again...

Strava no longer reads cadence and speed sensors. The way most people are getting round it is to use another app like wahoo and then upload the data after the ride to strava

I’m just getting back on my bike after a 2 year break, I used to pay for Strava premium so that my hrm, speed and cadence sensor info got incorporated into the ride data for the suffer score.

Are you saying that Strava no longer offer this as a premium feature?

Strava have only removed the ability to use data from bluetooth sensors on the phone apps due to lots of bugs and issues. If you record a ride some other way... ie wahoo app or device that will connect to the sensors then that data will upload to strava fine...

Oh I see, my Fenix uploads to Garmin Connect, Strava is connected so it should all work as before.

Thanks.

Not all Garmin watches support sensors, some sort certain types of sensors, for example heart rate but not power meters, and some support only ANT+ sensors but not Bluetooth.

Last time I hooked it all up was on my Fenix 5, I’ve got a 6 now, it should all work ok with a set of fresh batteries.
