What are the best UK cycling forums for road bikes?

Which do you use?

Road.cc is ok but don't talk about cycle helmets

Cyclechat.net is like pistonheads for cyclists, so you get the same wife range of views from Atilla to Lenin (or the other way round, who can tell)

They’re all mostly st imho, cycling news being the worst for the abuse you’ll get if you aren’t demonstrating absolute hatred for Sky/Ineos and your love for hooky European dopers.... Yet Another Cycling Forum YACF is ok, singletrackworld is nice and no one is out for a fight, quite a few roadies on there who know their stuff. One or two posters have just polluted Road.CC and made it unreadable, every single news item descends into utter bks within 2 pages.

Depends what you want really, if it’s arguments about pro cycling, CN is a treat, if it’s buying advice, routes etc, you could do a lot worse than right here to be fair (and that says a lot about the others!)....

The Bikeradar.com forum seems OK, although I only generally browse occasionally. Sections for buying advice, beginners etc.

They changed their forum software a while ago though, and it is awful to navigate.

weightweanies I like. Obviously focused on equipment not broader riding issues. Not seen any major arguments there.

If you have any sort of technical or obscure question: weightweenies. The depth of knowledge there is amazing.

If you can recite the top ten finishers in a minor Belgian one day race from 1973 that no one has ever heard of, the Pro Race forum on bikeradar is your home. The general road bike forums on bike radar are ok but don’t bother with cake stop or the bottom bracket unless you enjoy the company of deltas and epsilons.
