Wattbike to TV question

Hi all,

My Wattbike atom just arrived. I want to set up a big screen to use with maybe FulGaz.

I have an older spare TV that’s not smart but has HDMI input.

Do i need Apple TV box to send image from iPhone to old TV?

Or maybe buy a cheap small smart TV that can communicate direct with the IOS device?

I went the Apple TV route combined with a older, cheap, big TV from eBay. The Apple TV was a gen 3 which aren’t too expensive and it was a later gen 3 which means direct airplay between the phone and Apple TV - supposedly more stable than the earlier model which communicates via the wireless network. I think the preferred model ref is A1469.

This is all with an Elite Direto but I assume the trainers are all similar. No complaints with the set up or Fulgaz.

Get a gen 4 or above Apple tv and run the app, Fulgaz or Zwift for example, on the apple tv box. Works very well.
