As title really. I've got £50 quid to get a decent workstand. There seem to be a fair few and looking at pics some look a bit flimsy, especially around the bottom joint where the legs all join to the main upright.

Who's bought one and what would you recommend at this price?

This is mine - £20 over budget from Merlin though branded in a number of names so you might find it cheaper:

Just looked it up - purchased it in 2005 and still going strong. Used it last weekend for a drivetrain overhaul.

I've got this one https://www.merlincycles.com/bike-tools-workstand-...

It's all Alloy construction, very sturdy, heavy and good quality, but folds down nice and compact. I definitely didn't pay this price for it though (I'm a proper cheapskate!) and I am sure I paid around 35 - 40 quid, but I suspect it is the same as many others out there but with different names!

Aldi or Lidls ones are utter bargains.

Have to say though, I'm planning to splash out on a Park stand as you absolutely cannot get better.
