I have used Panaracer Mach SS tyres for ages, but they are now obselete.

What are current recommendations for a semi slick (not a town bike) for my Marin Mount Vision?

Looking for 26" x 1.95

Something similar to this:

Schwalbe Hurricane? Halfords seem to sell a 26x2.0 for £23.99

Yes, I saw those, wondered if there was anything better or not. Hard to tell from a photo!

seems to be a bit of a small market really! I've got experience with Schwalbe Land Cruisers (similar) and they're fit for purpose, fast enough on tarmac but a bit more side grip for some light off roading. Don't think they do those in a 26 though, as they're more aimed at road bikes (650b/700c)

I've got 1.75" land cruisers on right now. I bought them to commute to work which is 80% tarmac and 20% dirt track. Perfect if you keep them at quite a high pressure.

I went up and down Leith hill yesterday and they were pretty good really. Only struggled on a couple of bits up hill, and they weren't great on the muddy bits.

Edit to add that's on 26 wheels.

Edited again to add the hurricanes look better/closer to what you're used to.

Think it’s the Hurricanes then. Hardly the end of the world on cost!

Thanks everyone.
