Furloughed for 2 months with work so don't want to spend a fortune. However I've done about 1300miles in 12 months on the Brompton and 33 social distancing miles today.

What can anyone recommend for first real road bike? I do like the Pinarello Dogma but not the price. I love the Brompton but i'm stuck at home for 2 months so would like to have a good at some real road riding.

Thanks.

Great 'though Bromptons are, and I'm a real fan, a 'real' bicycle of more traditional sizing and contemporary construction will knock spots off one functionally.
What sort of riding do you want to do? Maybe a gravel/cyclo cross bike with the ability to venture off road whilst still being a quicker more responsive ride on the road might fit the bill?
Budget please, like the previous reply says. You won't need to spend a kings ransom to bag a great counterfoil to the Brommie

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. The weather has been great and i've been out on my bike.

Price point - £1000 - £1500. Road bike for roads and something in the Cycle to work £1000ish budget. Living in the Peak District we are blessed with good roads rather than trails/ paths etc but lots of hills which even with the -12% gearing the Brommie is a struggle.

Was looking at the Canyon Endurace AL 7.0 / CF 7.0 / AL 7.0 Disc

Saw a Pinarello FP Due on eBay but too small.
