Just a recreational rider on my hybrid - trying to get 15 miles in a day to fight the onslaught of podge.
I like to listen to talk radio, podcasts and alike - but won’t ride with headphones or ear pieces for obvious reasons.
I have my iPhone XS on the handlebars for this and it is 95% loud enough but thought I’d look for a simple little speaker to take it to Volume 11

Any recommendations ?

Bone conducting headphones are your friend here.
Broadcasting music on your bike is a tad unsociable 😉

Don't do that, we don't need cyclists being even less popular

Yup, I bought some Trekz from a local auctioneer (Costco returns I think) to mess with and they are pretty good - enough to cut through most traffic and wind.

to be STRICTLY avoided. Like the youth walking through the shopping centre with their phone blaring music - nobody wants to hear it.

Trekz Air bone conductor headphones. 6 hours of life, stay where you put them and you can still hear everything going on around you. There are two types I think around 75 and 115 gbp.

I hear what you are all saying about noise pollution - out herein the middle of Yorkshire the thought of listening to podcasts and alike whilst cycling does not sound like a social faux pas.

I have seen a colleague with the bone headphones - but they are not so cheap are they ?
