I cycled through Peaslake yesterday afternoon (only stopped to put a gel wrapper in the bin ) I didn't think it was that busy with cyclists, less than you'd see normally on a Saturday afternoon. However, there were far more cars than usual and the car parks were all rammed in the area and there were far more people out walking than normal. I had to stop a few times in the narrower lanes (shophouse lane particularly) to help cars squeeze past each other (ruined my stava time up there ) So I'd certainly put the emphasis on visitors to the area, rather than cyclists being the problem! Especially when cyclists make up a large part of Peaslake store's custom under normal circumstances
