Cycle race insurance
Discussion
Hello
I am in the process of organising a non competitive cycle ride of up to 150 miles. It is likely the event could have up to 200 riders although not all at once. (It is set out in legs with each leg about 15 miles) it will be on the public highways. Can anyone give me some pointers as to who to approach for insurance and general dos and don’ts. E.g. is it better if I limit participants to 20 per leg etc. This will be a work event with the blessing of the company in question.

When my club used to organise a Sportive, it was covered under the insurance provided by our affiliation to Cycling UK. The affiliation costs about £80 a year.
Have a look at: https://www.cyclinguk.org/insurance/event-organise...
British Cycling might have a similar offer.
