My "nice" bike has been sat on the Kickr indoors for around 3 months now, and I'm only using my winter hack at the moment. The bike on the Kickr is a Canyon Aeroad with ultegra hydraulic discs....is it worth taking the bike off of the Kickr, putting the wheels back on and just pulling the brake lever a few times? Will this prevent the pistons from sticking, or is it pretty pointless to bother?

Thanks smile

Wouldn't expect a problem unless perhaps it's sat in a very damp environment. Surely you can easily check the front brake in situ. For the rear, you can buy a plastic brake bleed block very cheaply and check the pistons compress and retract. Or make one up from wood etc. Might be worth lubricating the seals with brake fluid just in case - but make sure it's the correct fluid.

My winter hack sat unused for 10 months In my garage. The hope brakes worked fine, the front shock needed more persuading.
