After 4 years, c20,000 miles and c900rides the on/off button on my Garmin 1000 has finally broken.

Apparently it's out of warranty (tsk tsk) but as a gesture of goodwill Garmin will replace the unit with a refurbed one for a cost of about £200.

I need the device to be able to take input and read out from Garmin Vector 2 pedals and give OS map style navigation (as well as cadence, HR and SPeed)

Before I take that option are there better/more cost effective options out there? (Wahoo, 1030, an other??)

My power button failure was the final straw with the thing so I went for a new Wahoo Elemnt. I’d probably buy an ELEMNT Roam now.
