Recommend me some tools for building a mtb
Discussion
Depends where you are starting from. Are you beginning with an unused frame? Then toy might need everything from tools to face the bottom bracket and headset, bearing press etc. Or are you just screwing stuff together? Then you might get away with a set of hex and torx spanners.
Will you be bleeding hydraulic brakes? Which make?
Internally routed cables?
Electric drivetrain?
Tubeless?
Building your own wheels?

Take a look at the Park bike tool range and you'll realise the potential breadth of requirements.
A lot of tools are specific to the job (Bottom Bracket press, headset press, cassette removal, chain whip..)
A bike stand will definitely make your life easier.
You may well have a lot of the basics already-
As a minimum:
Torx keys
Allen keys
Toque Wrench (that goes down to 4NM)
Always useful:
Cable cutters
Long nose pliers
Adjustable Wrench
If you're installing a cassette
appropriate cassette lock ring tool
chain whip (assuming you'll want to remove it again at some point)
Depending on your Bottom Bracket:
BB lock ring
Your pedals will either be an allen key or a 15mm spanner (slim line one)
The rest will be subject to requirement*
I tend to go for either Park or Wera (I like the colours) - as we all know, cheap tools are a false economy by the time you've rounded something off or knackered a thread.
