My wife and I have always ridden MTBs but as the tracks and bridle paths are so wet and muddy at the moment we bought a road bike each so we can keep cycling during the winter.
Can punctures be successfully repaired in tubes that have between 85 and 120psi in them?
Tried to fix one this morning with a self adhesive Park patch and it wasn’t successful!
I assume that a good quality old school glue and patch kit would work ok?

Yes

Proper tube prep and sticking the patch properly (harder in colder weather) and it is straightforward stuff

Take a spare tube (or two) with you, quicker to swap out a tube at the roadside and then you can glue & patch back home in the warmth.

Always found these work well at the side if the road, providing you warm the patch first by holding it for about 60 seconds:

Well bought a pair of Schwalbe puncture resistant tyres, they were a right sod to put on but hopefully they will be a bit more puncture proof!
