Hi,

I'm after suggestions to replace my previous winter bike frame. I had a Kinesis Racelight 4S which I really liked but it developed a few cracks so I'm getting a refund. I'd happily go with the same again, but really don't like this year's colour scheme.

My other considerations are a Mason Definition or a Bowman Pilgrim.

Does anyone have another other suggestions? Its got to be disc ready and able to fit full length mudguards. Budget up to £1300ish.

Cheers.

I just built up a Mason Resolution as my winter trainer/commuter, transferring many parts from a Fairlight Strael, but upgrading to Di2 at the same time.

The Strael was great, I really enjoyed it, but I couldn't get the fit right. It rides really well and I'm building it into a flatbar do it all ....

The Mason though is next level, the ride is fantastic, the level of finish the highest I've had from any new frame and they're great to deal with. It was what I wanted originally, but resisted the extra cost, I needed to change so bit the bullet and I've put 750kms on it in last 3wks in all weathers and it's been a great frame so far.... It's a real mile muncher, comfortable, but great to get out of the saddle and sprint with as well - I am no pro !

If you like Kinesis then how about the RTD. Colours are inoffensive - black or white - and is similar geometry to the 4S just slightly more relaxed.

Would absolutely recommend this; I've had mine for just over 2yrs. 3rd ride on it was a 600km Audax and haven't looked back since. My only regret is not having had much time this year to get out on it.
