Endurace replacement - with DI2 snd Discs
Discussion
My usual plug for this website, others available I'm sure. : - https://bikesy.co.uk/s/road%20bikes%20di2/
Worth keeping an eye on Hargreaves website to see what appears.
They have an ex-demo Synapse with Di2 for £2100 (carbon frame though) if a 54cm size works

I was fancying an Endurace - what dont you like about it?
Simon
Where to start: Simon
Feels a little heavier than expected
find it boring
feels heavier, both to pick up and to ride
feels like a bit of a porker
Climbing on it is not the carbon experience
maintaining speed above 20mph takes work
moving marginally slower
feels like it needs more work to keep going
A friend has a Rose which he really likes. Their site allows you to tweak the finishing kit too so you can make it more like you want rather than having to accept the manufacturers spec choices. Maybe a different model Canyon?
I would think you would find a Synapse similar to the Endurace, they have similar design philosophies and are trying to do a similar job. Maybe a CAAD would be more to your liking? As someone else said, Di2 might be a stretch at £2k.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you buy an Endurace, decide you didn’t like and then sold it at a minor loss to a fellow club mate? Or have I got you mixed up with another PHer?

I have the same model year Endurace as the OP but the next one up, the 9.0.Simon
It’s ace.
Compared to my winter bike (a GT Grade gravel bike) it rides like a Ferrari. Quick everywhere and more importantly super comfy.
I’ve done a number of 100 mile rides on it without any issues.
The bike has been faultless over the last 3k miles.
I wouldn’t recommend buying direct for your first bike, but if you use your existing bike as a benchmark, plus the Canyon PPS sizing guide on their website, you’ll not go far wrong.
The only change I had to make on receipt was to fit a shorter stem, Canyon do a stem exchange program, so you can buy, try and decide which one is a better fit.
If I had my time again, I’d buy the same again, but perhaps go for a colour instead of stealthy black.
HTH?

How deep are your pockets? This is a tiny bit of budget creep, and not AL admittedly, but a great bit of kit.

This, and an Ultegra Di2 groupset, bought separately would work, and be in budget ( kind of ). If you bought a second hand Di2 groupo, even more so.

I picked up lots of Di2 stuff relatively cheaply just be trawling eBay and Facebook Marketplace and clearance sections, eg. an older Dura-Ace RD for £80, DA shifters off Wiggle for £150 the pair. It's all very easy to set up too, far easier than mechanical.I actually tried the red axs slx version when canyon had a pop up store in Harrogate for the world champs. Id booked a Large which was their recommendation but felt it was to small - It was all seat pin. I left convinced to buy one in XL but they had none left in the current model . The replacement was £1300.00 more which irritates me no end. I wouldnt use it over winter anyway so plenty of time to ponder.
I read and thought 'Aria' then saw you're a Bianchi fan so that's probably an easy sell. Not sure you'll get a di2 / disc for 2k though.
It isn't a move you'll regret - I went from a second hand Via Birone to a Felt AR3 whivh I still have - it felt a step (on paper it was) up but lacks personality. This year I bought a Di2 Disc Oltre XR4 and it's magnificent - bags of personality, classy as hell to ride and fast. I'm not sure it's quite as fast watt per mph as the Felt in a similar setup, but it's the one I'd choose every time.
XR3 may be worth a look as well. I was originally looking to spend 3-4k on a di2 /disc bike and the XR3 was where I was heading...but the XR4 and the decision that my budget was 'arbitrary' meant I got the one I wanted anyway. I haven't once felt even a ping of regret.

Depending on your size the Canyon Outlet is selling some the team bikes from the pro tour; most are rim brake version..
