Yes, me with 3 other equally stupid mates. Weather on Saturday looks sub-optimal though.

did it last year, worse experience i have had in a long time. total ste.

i would advise two hour shifts as at least you can get a rest and there is a bit of team spirit, otherwise..

1 guy is riding
1 guy has finished riding and is eating / sleeping
1 guy is asleep
1 guy is waking up, getting ready to ride.

I always grumbled that there wasn't a solo option. Apparently there is this year but too many friends have been too scathing about the event for me to bother now. Best of luck to those riding. Take a thick coat.

Did it in the first year. Was good fun and we had fairly decent weather, not super cold and only a little rain. I figured chances of similar conditions are unlikely and haven't bothered again since.

Went to spectate last year and got thoroughly drenched on my return from Windsor GP.

Apparently Pavel Sivakov is racing with a team of Ineos staff this year.

It sounds like there's a fair few more riders on the course this year - could be chaotic. First year there was a big crash in the first lap which lead to a restart of the race. I hope the surface dressing the park team like to apply has mostly gone by now. I turned back out of the park a month or so back because there was so much.

I did the route a few weeks back, it's fine. The roads there always have a sound like they are loose on the top, but they aren't. It's very strange.

sivakov is racing this year, so i can imagine the tactic is to glue yourself to his wheel.

Likewise, did it the first year, and think we were lucky with the weather, considering the time of year.

Good luck to anyone having a go this year.

It's grim. So very grim. Wind is horrid and the rain hasn't stopped all day.

Once it goes it's alright but after the initial spread it can be dangerous for road bikes, especially in the corners. Can be up to 2 inches deep.

Noticed they took the inflatable over the finish line down when I popped by earlier. Looks really rough out now.

It's all gone now. Mostly washed away
