Having just completed my cycle-scheme on my current bike (Genisis CDF20), I'm now looking to upgrade, but I need to some help narrowing down my options.

This is what I will use the bike for:

75m-100m per week commuting, some gravel paths/forest, but 80% on road.
Road cycling at weekends, 50m sort of distance

I would like a light, quick bike, so carbon frame?

I like my Genisis, but its a heavy beast, so whilst its comfortable commuting, when I go cycling with others I feel slightly handicapped, especially up hills

My friendly Cervelo dealer price up an Aspero for a shade under £2k for me a couple of weeks ago. This bike:

They're based in Grantham, and I've had excellent service from them. They take CycleScheme vouchers too.

I really like my current (older model) aluminium GT Grade. I was tempted by the new carbon one with Di2 but there is a mechanical gear one as well. The new frame looks interesting, with the decoupling of the seat stays and the adjustable trail.

Giant Revolt, should cover most of your needs.

Giant Revolt, good in principle, poor in practice. I've had two replaced under warranty as the frame cracked around the top tube-seat tube weld. Can't fault Giant's warranty - I've seen similar on eBay for sale as spares or repair. Probably a reason why Giant stopped making it.
