Hi all

Just sold two of our kids bikes on the ‘bay

Islabike cnoc & frog 48 - so pretty small.

What couriers are best for shipping?

Foolishly i sold as ‘seller pays postage’ so now ot looks like i’m on for £30 quid or thereabout to send each one

Lesson learned! Collection only next time...

Anyhows - Any reasonable courier you fellas would recommend?

Cheers

If you want it to get there Parcelforce pricey but theres a reason. Hermes wont do anything that large, DPD worth a shot also.
Yodel...well..would probs end up in Africa or Poland.

I've bought a few bikes recently... the shops used DPD, the private sellers ParcelForce. All turned up fine.

Just lately I have found the eBay couriers to be about the cheapest, plus they are tracked, so there's less chance of any comeback.

Just about to list an Isla Cnoc so interested to know. Still got the box which is handy. Though I'm going to sell it on the Facebook Islabike Buying/Selling page so hopefully I can get a local buyer.

From shipping other odd larger items ParcelForce have generally come up as being the best value.

Cost it up on Parcel Monkey?

Enter dimensions and weight of the box and they price it up from lots of different options.

Paisley are a good courier for larger items too.

Usually https://www.paisleyfreight.com/ for normal adult bikes you might fit inside other couriers' limits for kids ones.

Maybe its changed now but I found small adults and childrens bikes could fit into a smaller length bike box and that meant final measurement was well within the parcel force measurements and so price to send was around £12 - £15 from memory. Last time I did this was summer 2018 though...

Full size adult bikes were just too big and it became substantially more expensive though.
